How it works

What actually happens to your prayer

Three steps, and you receive proof of every one of them. Our headquarters is a short walk from the Church, which is why this takes days rather than months.

  1. 1 A pilgrim's hands laid flat on the Stone of Anointing, head bowed under a veil.

    You write it. We print it.

    You type your prayer in the box above. Nobody edits it. We print it exactly as you wrote it, in your own words.

  2. 2 Clergy in albs at mass inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

    A priest prays it at the Stone of Anointing.

    We carry it into the Church, lay it on the Stone where Jesus was prepared for burial, and a priest prays it aloud. Then we light your candle at the Tomb.

  3. 3 A candle burning against the stone of the Aedicule, the Tomb of Jesus.

    Your photographs arrive.

    Photographs of your printed prayer on the Stone, and of your candle burning at the Tomb, arrive by email. Yours to keep, print and share.

  • 2 to 3 daysfor your prayer to be placed and prayed at the Church

Why there is a price at all

We are a small family company in Jerusalem. Printing, walking to the Church, photographing, emailing and posting all cost something, and a portion of every contribution goes to the Church itself.

We would rather say that plainly than pretend it is free.

Your email address, phone number and mailing address are never published. You decide, on the next screen, whether your prayer appears on the public prayer wall at all.
